Contrary to previous faulty studies that would incorrectly conclude red meat leads to increased heart disease, cardiovascular problems, cancer and a whole range of other diseases, recent research is now finding the opposite to be true.
According to the latest study eating lean red meat can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease.
In this study, the more lean red meat was consumed, the greater the reductions in blood pressure were observed. Whether this was due to the higher red meat consumption or higher protein content (regardless of protein source) remains unclear.
